Solar Power Pump

Solar Power Pump

The Solar powered pump is water pumping devise, which uses solar energy to pump water from a bore well during the day and offers an option to store water in an over head tank for use as and when required.

How It Works

For people living in remote areas, solar water pumps are usually the only solution as there is no access to diesel. A solar powered water pump differs from a regular water pump only in that it uses the sun’s energy to supply electricity for the pump. The solar panels absorb the sun’s energy and convert it to electrical energy for the pump to operate. All the pumped water is stored in a water tank so that there is constant supply even in bad weather conditions and during night time where there is insufficient power to generate the solar water pumps.

  • PV power system fully automatic operate, without on duty. Solar Water Pumping System is composed of solar cell arrays, pump inverter and water pump. Water storage replaces battery and directly drives pumping, with high reliability, at the same time, it can reduce system cost and maintenance costs.
  • According to the sunlight intensity to adjust pump speed, the output power close to the solar array maximum power; when the sunshine is sufficient, pump speed does not exceed the rated speed; when sunlight is insufficient, it will automatic stop working according to the minimum operating frequency.
  • Water pump is driven by three phase AC inverter. Pumping water from the deep well or rivers and lakes is poured into the water tank/pool, or directly connect irrigation system and fountain systems. To choose water pump depends on actual demands and installation conditions
Features
  • The system is useful to provide piped water supply in remote village where grid power is not available.
  • The Solar powered submersible pump can be installed on a bore well.
  • The pump delivers water directly to an overhead tank for storage and distribution.
  • The submersible pump is operated on electricity generated by the solar array.
  • No batteries required for power storage
  • The stored water can be used as and when required in absence of power from the solar array.
  • No Operational cost and low maintenance cost.
Conclusions

Solar water pumps can provide simple and low labor watering options for farms that
require water in remote areas.
