Power Conditioner System(PCS)

A power conditioner (also known as a line conditioner or power line conditioner) is a device intended to improve the quality of the power . That is delivered to electrical load equipment. A power conditioner is an electrical device that provides “clean” AC power to sensitive electrical equipment. Many models also provide Ethernet, cable and phone line conditioning.

Power conditioning devices are readily available to the homeowner to provide extra protection in the event of power disturbances. Appliances such as personal computers, VCRs, microwave ovens, or stereos may need protection from voltage spikes caused by storms, accidents, or nearby motors. A quality surge suppressor and “noise filter” may protect your most important and sensitive equipment from electrical disturbances.

Surge Protection Devices

A plug-in surge protection device (SPD), sometimes referred to as transient voltage suppressor (TVSS), is the simplest, least expensive, and most commonly purchased power-conditioning device. The function of the SPD is to reduce the magnitude of voltage spikes to a level safe for your electronic equipment. Many models of SPDs will also provide a small amount of noise filtering. The SPD is plugged into a wall receptacle, and your electronic equipment is then plugged into the SPD. Simplicity of installation is what makes this device so popular among homeowners.

Solar Power Conditioning Unit
Solar Power Conditioning unit (PCU) is an integrated system consisting of a solar charge controller, inverter and a Grid charger. It provides the facility to charger the battery bank either through Solar or Grid/DG set. The PCU continuously monitors the state of Battery Voltage, Solar Power output and the loads. Due to sustained usage of power, when the Battery voltage falls below a preset level, the PCU will automatically transfer the load, the Grid/DG power and also charge.

Once the Batteries are charged to the preset level, the PCU cuts off the Grid/DG Power from the system and will restore to feeding the loads from the battery bank & also restore to charging the battery from the Available Solar power. The PCU always gives preference to the Solar Power and will use Grid/DG power only when the Solar Power/ Battery charger is insufficient to meet the load requirement.
