Solar Power

Solar Power Energy – The Moon is a ball of left-over debris from a cosmic collision.  That took place more than four billion years ago. A Mars-sized asteroid – one of the countless planetesimals that were frantically churning . Our solar system into existence – hit the infant Earth, bequeathing it a very large natural satellite.

Clearly, we need more incentives to quickly increase the use of wind and solar power; they will cut costs, increase our energy independence and our national security and reduce the consequences of global warming.

Solar Power – How Solar Plants Work: You will find two ways we can produce electricity from the sun.

Photo voltaic Electricity: This method uses pv cells that absorb the direct sunlight just like the solar cells you observe on some calculators.

Solar-Thermal Electricity: This also uses a solar extractor: excellent mirrored surface that reflects the sunlight on to a receiver that warms up a liquid. This kind of heated liquid can be used to make steam that produces electricity.
